Thermal Conductivity Measurement for Technical Insulation Materials from -20°C to +80°C at TEBAR
Glass wool, stone wool, elastomeric rubber foam, polyethylene foam and polyolefin foam are widely used for thermal insulation of installations in Türkiye. One of the most important criteria when selecting thermal insulation materials for installations is the temperature of the fluid used in the installation. Thermal conductivity, the most fundamental property of thermal insulation materials, varies with temperature. Technical insulation material manufacturers must therefore declare different thermal conductivity values across the product's service temperature range.
Standardisation work in Europe for thermal insulation materials used in installations is nearing completion. The draft texts of these standards, which are in their final stages, state: "Thermal conductivity values must be declared by the manufacturer at mean reference temperatures covering the product's service temperature range."

Regulations and technical requirements show that the thermal conductivity values used for installations must be determined at different temperatures. Having completed its investments to include technical insulation materials in light of this information, TEBAR A.Ş. supports technical insulation manufacturers through thermal conductivity measurements in the range of -20°C to +80°C and prepares them for the standards that will come into use in the near future.
